AgQuip highlights water demand in towns and on farms

Multi award-winning manufacturing company DELTAwater solutions will return to AgQuip this year with its 100% Australian water treatment system for salinity, scale, calcium, iron and harsh town water. Ag Quip, Australia’s biggest showcase of agri-products is on 20, 21 & 22 August.
The Newcastle-based company, founded by Alex and Dianne Panov more than 25 years ago, will return to Gunnedah with their custom-designed solutions for problems caused by salinity, scale, algae, calcium and corrosion.
Alex says he expected another busy Ag Quip following on from last year, which was their busiest ever in the 21 years they’ve been attending.
“DELTA is experiencing an increasing customer demand for better quality water solutions for gardens, stock and irrigation with widespread drought conditions continuing in many parts of the country,” he said.
“Last year was our busiest year ever at Ag Quip, and we’re expecting even more interest this year.”
He said Ag-Quip customers were generally people experiencing water quality issues on farms but last year there was a spike in demand for DELTA’s town water treatment system.
“A lot of rural towns are on water restrictions, and have been for a long time now. The quality of town water in places such as Tamworth, Gunnedah and Narrabri are causing problems with scale and corrosion, and ruining appliances,” he said.
Alex said the value of access to quality water could never be underestimated.
“Dianne and I are both off the land so we know what people are going through, which is one of the reasons we started manufacturing the DELTA water treatment systems in the first place. It provides us a lot of personal satisfaction to support people in regional areas by giving them access to better quality water that they normally wouldn’t be able to use.”
