DELTA keeps gardens alivePosted on March 30, 2017
In dry arid rural Australia the importance of having a healthy garden amidst dusty dry landscapes cannot be underestimated. So many people contact DELTA who have no options for water apart from salty unusable bore water.
Here’s how DELTA has helped one western NSW garden grow.
For more than 20 years, DELTA has been solving the problems caused by poor quality bore water such as dying lawns, stunted growth and plant wilting.
One couple living at Cobar in western NSW dropped into our agent Aquawest looking for a solution to keep their garden and lawns, which couldn’t tolerate the salty bore water, alive. They were carting tank water to keep their lawns alive and their garden plants growing over summer. At the same time they were cutting scrub daily to feed their cattle, and the water carting was an extra job they didn’t need.
After installing a DELTA bore water treatment system, Toni Wells sent in photos to show what a difference the DELTA was making. Her hubby no longer has to cart water for their lawn, and they are now watering it solely with their DELTA-treated bore water.
“Here are photos showing how good our lawns look. At the time of the photos, they hadn’t had any rain on them for four hot summer months. Most of the roses and shrubs have responded well too. The plants are tolerating the bore water much better now that it is treated (with DELTA). Purchasing it has meant that hubby has not had to cart water for the last three months, and as he is scrub cutting for our cattle every day, that is a great help.” Toni Wells.
