Better water naturally

DELTA offers free water testing at Lucindale

If you’ve noticed a change for the better in the quality of Australian wine grapes, fruit and vegetables lately, chances are that Newcastle-based bore water treatment company DELTAwater solutions is involved.
And if you’re one of the 25,000 visitors to the 38th South East Field Days at Lucindale (March 18-19), you’ll notice their toilets are flushing a whole lot better, also thanks to DELTAwater solutions.
DELTA founding director Alex Panov is a regular fixture at the Field Days, and this year he will bring along his mobile water test kit for free testing on site. People can also opt for a full DELTA water analysis at a special field days price.
Alex said getting your water tested was the essential first step in finding a bore water treatment solution.
“We follow the adage that if you don’t know what the problem is, you can’t fix it. This year we are offering free basic water testing onsite, so people can gain a better understanding of what is in their water. Then if people want further analysis they can opt for a full water test and report through our Newcastle testing laboratory.”
Field Days committee chairman John Motteram said the success of DELTA’s 100% Australian water treatment products in the area was well known.
“Locals have reported success in treating iron problems in their centre pivot irrigators, as well as solving their calcium problems in vineyard irrigation and stock systems plus salt problems in soils,” John said.
“We’ve watched the DELTA products around the area with interest for a while, and they definitely work. There’s no doubt about that.”
John said DELTA had also provided welcome relief to the field days committee’s ongoing problem with blocked toilets.
“For years we’ve had serious calcium buildup in the toilets which required an acid wash, and sometimes, a complete cistern replacement. But since the DELTA system has been treating our bore water, which comes from a limestone aquifer and has high mineral content, we haven’t had the buildup, and our toilets are no longer running or leaking.”

DELTAwater solutions will be at site 267. It is the 9th year in a row that DELTA has been part of the event. “We love coming over here, it’s a fantastic event and it’s great to return year after year and talk to our clients and agents and meet new people,” Alex said.

Alex and wife Dianne founded DELTAwater solutions in 1991. Last year the company’s contribution to the water treatment industry was recognised when it was awarded the Hunter Business of the Year, most innovative business and best marketed manufacturing company.
