If you’ve noticed a change for the better in the quality of your fruit and vegetables, chances are water treatment company DELTAwater solutions is involved.

Wine grape and fruit and vegetable growers across Australia and in overseas countries such as the UK are experiencing faster growth, improved yields and better water penetration in soils since installing a DELTAwater’s chemical-free water treatment system.

Barnsmuir Farm owner Tim Stockwell in the UK contacted DELTAwater due to problems caused by high salinity in the bore water they use on their soft fruit crops including strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. After trialling their first water conditioner, customised based on water test results, they installed eight more.

“In recent years we have struggled with the health and yield of new strawberry varieties in particular. I came across DELTAwater solutions after extensive research in the UK where I couldn’t find a water treatment product that could specifically address the problem,” Tim said.

“We saw a noticeable difference in the yield and health of the strawberries after installing our first DELTA and went ahead and ordered eight more. Protecting the environment and sustainability are important to Barnsmuir and DELTAwater’s power and chemical free magnetic water treatment system also fits well into our farming practices.”

In the WA Swan Valley Stephen Kraljevich installed a DELTAwater conditioner to fix problems caused by high sodium and chloride levels in his bore water at Twin Hill Wines, established in the 1930s.

The DELTA-treatment increased grape yields with one area of the vineyard experiencing a jump from 600 to 900 cases. The water treatment system has also stopped leaf burn, resulted in improved penetration of water into the soil and reduced their fertiliser use.

“We used to have to put a lot of fertiliser on to get the vines the right colour, and we’re using less now to get them growing how we want them to. They are greener and picking up the fertiliser a lot better since installing the DELTAwater treatment system,” Stephen says.

Alex and Dianne Panov established DELTAwater solutions in 1993 and manufacture customised water treatment systems to treat salinity, calcium-scale, iron, water hardness and corrosion. Based in Newcastle, DELTAwater solutions distributes its products worldwide in agriculture, mining, commercial, nursery, accommodation and house and garden industries.
