Our Australian designed and manufactured water treatment system has transformed a simple bar of soap that wouldn’t lather into tubs overflowing with bubbles in a small town in Kenya.

We have manufactured and dispatched our first batch of customised magnetic water conditioners to the East African country, with a second batch in production.

Since 1993 DELTAwater solutions has been designing and manufacturing magnetic water conditioners for agriculture, mining and domestic water treatment.

Growing water demand where water is scarce is a notable challenge in Kenya. With a population of 56 million, 19 million Kenyans lack access to basic water and 36 million lack access to a safe toilet.

Issak Haji from the Aludha Construction Company, based in Nairobi, contacted us looking for a solution for coastal communities where he works.

Poor quality bore water creates problems such as blocked toilets and pipes caused by calcium scale build-up. Also, women are unable to get a lather from the soap they use to wash clothes. Simple things we take for granted here in Australia.

After analysing water test results, DELTAwater solutions dispatched five Grade 35 heavy duty conditioners to treat the water as it’s pumped out of the bore into the town tank.

DELTAwater solutions is now manufacturing a Grade 50 Heavy Duty unit for inland water supplies which have even higher levels of mineral content.

“It is an extremely humbling experience to work with customers who face such big challenges with water, and highlights that we should never take a secure, quality water supply for granted,” Dianne says.

“We are pleased to be able to provide a long-term solution that doesn’t incur ongoing, extra costs for these small communities.”
