Australian water treatment company success

Irrigators, graziers, wineries, resort managers and fruit and vegetable growers are among those who attest to DELTAwater solutions’ water treatment system saving them time and money, while improving yield, soil and stock health.

Alex and Dianne Panov founded their family-owned company 30 years ago. Their products, which are power, maintenance and chemical free, overcome problems caused by salinity, iron, algae and calcium-scale in bore, river, dam and town water supplies.

South-west Queensland trading cattle property owner Andrew Woodrow says his investment in a DELTAwater unit paid for itself within 10 months by solving cattle health problems caused by high chloride and sodium levels in his bore water.

Andrew and his wife Annette run a steer growing operation, mainly Santa Gertrudis cross and Droughtmaster, which they turn-off after about 12 months. Andrew says the DELTA water treatment system allows them to consistently turn-off their cattle sooner.

“We are at least two months in front since putting the DELTA on; from a financial point of view, it has worked well in our favour.”

Andrew says it took just four days to notice a difference in his cattle.  The Australian-made water treatment system also solved a scouring problem that had arisen after they installed the bore.

Andrew Woodrow’s cattle are much healthier thanks to DELTAwater.

Riverland grape grower Dino Sigismondi reckons it was a ‘very good day’ when he first installed the DELTA water treatment technology. Dino added another five water treatment units to his vineyard after the technology proved resoundingly successful in banishing algae from his irrigation systems.

“Since installing the DELTAs I haven’t had to chlorinate the drippers and I used to do that twice a year. We’ve now got a clean irrigation system, a more efficient system, the pressure is higher and the vines look a lot healthier too.”

Steven McCracken, who farms a 5000-hectare property on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, says his DELTA conditioner rapidly cleared a ‘frustrating’ build-up of minerals that blocked his main stock-irrigation pipe.

“I had sheep and cattle drinking on the line and I was not getting enough water through the system. I put my DELTA unit on the line and it unblocked the pipe within days. It was a great relief,” he said.

Torrens Valley Orchards in SA, one of Australia’s largest cherry growers, has a similar success story after installing a DELTA Bore Hole Unit to treat their pipes and pumps which were blocking with iron. Within three months their pumps and pipes were clear and have remained that way ever since.

The resort industry is also discovering the benefits of DELTAwater solutions. Maintenance Supervisor at Ibis Styles Eaglehawk Luciano Berluti is connected to a treated bore water supply from a Canberra bore hole. A new water treatment plant supplying drinking quality water failed to solve their calcium-scale problems.

Since installing the DELTA, the maintenance team at the modern 151-room resort have an extra 20 hours a week to spend on other tasks.

“It’s working like a dream. We used to have to regularly clean out filters but now we don’t need to. We also had a constant leak from a hot water system outlet valve and that has stopped too. We are extremely happy with our DELTAwater conditioner, it’s saving us time and money,” Luciano said.
